Neptilius
Complete guide to finding and capturing Neptilius in Palworld 1.0. Location, stats, drops, and strategy.
Location & Spawn
Neptilius only spawns as a boss on the Isle of the Glacial Core. You won’t find wild Neptilius roaming around anywhere else on the map. The boss spawns at coordinates 600, -860, right in the middle of the frozen island.
This is a late-game area. You’ll need heat-resistant gear and high-level Pals to survive the freezing temperatures. The boss is level 45 and hits hard.
How to Catch
Bring Water-type counters. Neptilius is pure Water, so Electric or Grass Pals will wreck it. A good Jolthog or a high-level Verdash can take it down fast.
Don’t try to capture it at full health. Weaken it to below 20% HP first. Use a Legendary or Hyper Sphere for the best catch rate. The boss has a decent capture rate compared to some other alpha Pals, but don’t waste cheap spheres.
Stats
- HP: 105
- Attack: 145
- Defense: 125
It’s a glass cannon. High attack for a Water type, but defense is average and HP is low. You’ll want to kill things before they hit back.
Drops
Neptilius drops 10 Coralum Ore when defeated. That’s it. No rare schematics, no Pal souls, just ore. If you’re farming Coralum Ore, this is a reliable source since the boss respawns.
Partner Skill
No partner skill data available. Neptilius doesn’t have a ride skill or any special ability listed. It’s a standard combat Pal.
Tips & Strategy
- Bring a fire weapon or a Pal with Fire attacks to deal extra damage. Water takes double damage from Fire in Palworld.
- Use a grappling hook to dodge its water jet attack. The boss telegraphs the attack with a charge-up animation.
- Don’t bother breeding Neptilius. The breeding power isn’t listed, and the boss spawn is easier to farm.
- If you’re farming Coralum Ore, kill the boss, fast travel away, come back. The respawn timer is about 15 minutes in-game.
- Neptilius is weak to status effects. Poison or burn it to speed up the fight.
